The Zoo...

We finally made it to the Zoo for our annual trip. As usual we picked the hottest day of the year (or so it seemed) but we had a great time. Since it was a "fieldtrip" for our Animal adventure week, I gave each of the kids their own disposable camera with instructions to try and find an animal for each letter of the alphabet (A is for alligator, etc...) and then take a picture. They had way too much fun with that and someday I hope to actually develop the pictures (digital is just so much easier, isn't it?).

Zak and Livvy are consulting the map so we don't make the same mistake we made last year. (The one where we missed the turn and trudged up a hill along the back of the zoo that seems to go nowhere and there wasn't an animal to be seen AND it was a million degrees and well, you get the picture...)
